Privacy Policy

The short version

We built VeilSearch so that we couldn't profile you even if we wanted to. We do not store your queries, your results, or your browsing behaviour. Ever.

What we store

• Account: your email and a salted password hash, if you create one.
• Usage counter: one integer per account per month (how many AI searches you used), for quota enforcement.
• Anonymous trial counter: a one-way SHA-256 hash of your IP with a monthly counter. The raw IP is not stored, and the hash cannot be joined to any query because queries are never stored.
• Billing: subscription status from our payment provider (Razorpay). Card/UPI details never touch our servers.

What we never store

• Search queries or search results
• AI answers generated for you
• Click-throughs, sessions analytics tied to identity, or ad IDs

Third parties

• Search engines:queries are relayed through our SearXNG instance; engines see our server's identity, not yours.
• AI provider: the model receives the query and the result snippets to write the summary, under a no-training, no-retention API agreement.
• Razorpay: processes payments (their privacy policy applies to payment data).

Your rights (GDPR / DPDP Act)

Email getdeaddictedllc@gmail.com to access, correct, export, or delete your account data. Deletion removes your email, password hash, counters and subscription records within 30 days. Since we hold almost nothing, there is almost nothing to hand over — that's the point.
